  11. The Library of the Health Sciences (LHS) at the University of Illinois
  12. at Chicago seeks an ASSISTANT INFORMATION SERVICES LIBRARIAN to work
  13. under the direction of the Information Services Librarian.  Responsibities
  14. include reference service, and working with the information management
  15. team to introduce library systems and services.  UIC is a reseach institution
  16. with quality standards in research and publication.  The Information Services
  17. Department has structured information technology and educational goals focused
  18. on improved connectivity within LHS, and integration of information-seeking
  19. skills into the curriculum of six professional schools and two inter-
  20. disciplinary programs.

  22. ALA/MLS; 2 years professional library experience or equivalent; ability to
  23. promote services and programs; interest in and knowledge of and/or experience
  24. with automated info systems; evidence of professional involvement within
  25. academic librarianship; ability to meet university standards in research,
  26. publication, and professional service commensurate with tenure. Desirable:
  27. previous work experience in reference; experience with online searching.
