- This message is addressed to any library with a 3M tattle-tape security system
- over two years old. Our system was installed in 1986 and operated till now
- with no problems. Recently the lighting system in our building was upgraded
- with electronic ballasts and high efficiency bulbs, a situation that has
- adversely affected the security system electronics.
-
- Attempts to correct this situation by guilding and electronic engineers here
- at M.D. Anderson have not been successful. The vendor has not been helpful or
- shown any interest in helping us find a solution. I would appreciate hearing
- from any of you who might have experienced this situation. Please address
- your comments to me at the address below. If there is interest I will
- summarize the comments.
