  14. ABout focus groups.  I am a bit innocent here.  "Roughly structured
  15. discussion groups"?  What do you imagine as the purpose of the
  16. discussions?  How do they fit in the context of, let's say, a
  17. firstyear writing program?  (assuming that we have some kind
  18. of common notion of what the purpose of a firstyear writing program
  19. might be, which is quite an assumption).
