- Many of us are reading this list in part to learn
- more about using the Internet in reference, but many answers
- to specific questions are too short to be of any practical
- use. For instance someone just replied that they got some
- information " Found by using .... on Illinet. accessible by
- internet. " This is like telling someone, to use the Internet/
- Interstate Highway system parable, you can go from Baltimore
- to Washington by using the Interstate Highway system. It's
- just not of much practical use. If we're on this list we know
- how to get on the Internet, but we probably don't know the way
- to Illinet, but would like to.
- Please make your replies more instructive by including
- addresses, methods of access (gopher @, ect.), and any other
- info that might be necessary such as "login as guest". The
- answers to the Internet Hunt questions are usually good
- examples of instructive answers.
