- In answer to Deborah S. Johnson -- yes, I think even we pesky
- computer types must admitt the obstacles to getting others involved
- are not imaginary. People are busy and the connections can be
- flakey. I am teaching a Computer Info Systems seminar course right
- now, in addition to my librarian role in ILL, and gave my 13 students
- a VAX account and license to do research on Internet via conferences.
- I also gave them Diane K's list of conferences. One has taken advantage
- of it so far. Learning to use the e-mail is an obstacle, and people
- are unsure of what they'll find when they try.

- My answer to that is more librarians ought to be blazing trails and
- doing the leg work.
