- ----------------------------Original message----------------------------
- UNIPUB recently became the exclusive U.S. and Canadian distributor
- of publications from Library Association Publishing, Ltd., London.
- Any librarians online interested in the work of and manuals from the
- British Library Association, please feel free to contact us. I'd
- also like to take the opportunity, for any interested reference
- librarians, to announce the availability of the _Walford Concise
- Guide to Reference Material, Second Edition_.
-
- This abridged version of the three volume _Walford Guide to
- Reference Material, Fifth Edition_ compiles more than 3,000
- annotated entries from those main volumes and includes more
- recent material through April 1992.
-
- The _Walford Concise Guide_ is designed to identify and
- evaluate the widest possible range of reference materials,
- including bibliographies, indexes, dictionaries, encyclopedia
- and directories. Textbooks and general practice manuals have also
- been included. And since it is a guide to reference MATERIAL,
- periodical articles, microforms, and online and CD_ROM resources
- are also generously represented.
-
- International in scope, the _Walford Guide_ continues to cover
- resources on both sides of the Atlantic in subjects ranging
- through generalities, philosophy and psychology, religion,
- social sciences, science, technology, the arts, language and
- literature, biography and history. An excellent reference for
- researchers beginning projects, students of library and
- information studies, and librarians developing reference
- collections.
-
- For more information on this and any other title from
- Library Association Publishing, Ltd., London, feel free
- to contact UNIPUB in any of the means below.
