  14. Hi, I've been reading this list for a few months and figured that I'd
  15. throw out a few questions regarding Law School.
  16. I received my Ph.D. a couple of years ago and am currently a
  17. postdoctoral fellow.  Seeing that there is  a dirth of academic
  18. positions and funding that is available,I have been thinking of
  19. applying my degree to the field of Biotech patent law. I have
  20. read some of the discussions on taking the patent bar exam and
  21. have gathered the information based  on these posts from this list.
  22. I plan on taking the patent bar exam in the fall and I am in the process
  23. of contacting some patent firms in the Boston area (anyone have leads
  24. on particular firms to get in touch with?) for employment.
  25. I also want to obtain my JD degree on a part time basis. There are 3 schools
  26. that offer this type of program in the Boston/RI area,
  27. New England School of Law, Suffolk and Roger Williams Law School.
  28. How important is the reputation of the school for future employment?
  29. What is like to work full-time and go to school part-time?
  30. When does one decide on the particular branch of Law that he/she would
  31. like to enter?  Right now I am leaning towards patent law but I also find
  32. enviromental law quite interesting, especially with my science background,
  33. and the new administration in office.
  34. I'd appreciate any information on any of these questions including any
  35. advice or suggestions.
