  14. Oh,  and about prep courses..... They may help some people,  but also,
  15. if you have some time,  just taking previous exams under timed conditions
  16. can bring up your score too.  If you go into the exam knowing what to expect
  17. (about how long you have on each section,  what TYPE of questions that are
  18. asked,  that sort of thing...) you won't be as nervous,  and that can make
  19. all the difference.  Money can be a problem with prep courses.  Check your
  20. local Law Center (if you have one,  at Central,  we do).  Or even if you
  21. have a chapter of Phi Alpha Delta.  We (along with the law center) offer
  22. workshops on the Logical and Analytical sections of the LSAT,  which can
  23. help in teaching you HOW to attack a problem (diagrams,  that sort of thing)
  24. All this is offered (here) free of charge to students of CMU.  We also
  25. give free practice (graded) exams which have been disclosed by LSDAS.  You can
  26. order these for under $10/each.  That helped me a lot.
