- Subject: What is the effect of DRAIN and HOLD ?
- Lines: 24
-
- Jneters,
-
- I wonder what the effect of the DRAIN and HOLD attributes are.
- I understand the effect of the HOLD attribute on the local node (it
- prevents the use of the FINGER = CPQ NAMES command), but I cannot
- figure out from the manual anything else. It states, that
- "the interpretation of these attributes depends on the link driver"
-
- I have DECNET, and TCP/IP links. I do not find anything in the
- corresponding chapters.
-
- I wish to have effects like
- - please let just interactive messages through, but no files, or
- - please transmit files, but do not receive any or vica versa.
-
- Thank you in advance for your help.
