- If you are looking for terminal software to be used for access to
- the OPAC or staff, (not for use with PC backup) Kermit works fine.
- It is available for most cpu's, though the PC version has the best
- features.
-
- The latest non-beta version of kermit is 3.11 (I think), and is
- available from numerous anonymous sites. It supports vt100-vt320
- terminals (and others), and may be used with public domain tcp/ip
- software to access tcp and lat networks directly. You can purchase
- Kermit from Digital Press also. The manual is written by
- Christine Giannone, and includes the software. It is well worth
- the 30.00.
-
- Many universities use Kermit and have developed scripts to provide
- extended key support etc.
