  18. Yep.  I was going to suggest that speed might be the problem, since
  19. that looks like what happens here when the speed comes up wrong when
  20. connecting to our Micom port contention unit.  I was told many years
  21. ago to enter U (upper case) as the first character -- something about
  22. that bit pattern which allows the speed to be determined correctly.  I
  23. have no idea why it works, but "U" has never failed for me, where C/R
  24. fails something like half the time.
