- Hi,
- I have just installed FAL V2R2 on our system. A 9221 running
- VM/ESA Release 1, service level 0101 and CMS Level 7, Service Level 101.
- Our LAN connection is a 3172 running ICP 1.0.
-
- Most things work fine, but I get a few console messages on some
- machines that I don't like the look of and can't find in the Messages
- and Codes book.
-
- This is part of the TCPIP console log at startup:

- LOGOFF AT 15:07:47 EST FRIDAY 01/15/93 BY SYSTEM
- ------------------------(End: LPD console)-------------------------------
-
- The LPD message is generated at the first attempt of a client (lpr,
- lpq etc.) to use the server.
-
- TCPIP and ROUTED continue to run, LPD (as you can see!) fails and
- logs off. Can anyone explain these messages and suggest a fix for
- LPD?
-
- I know that my config files would probably be usefull, but this post
- is already quite long! If anyone wants to help me but needs more
- information, please contact me personally. I will make a summary of
- any direct replies for the list.
-
- Thanks,
