  17. You install special ALA translation tables in the 7171.  You create a new
  18. terminal type based on the 316X (we named it ALA3164) that is patched to
  19. point at the new translation tables.  NOTIS has documents that tell you
  20. how to do this.  We use custom software in CICS not NOTIS but based the
  21. terminal support on NOTIS (at least partialy).  We use the full color ability
  22. of the 3164.
