  14.         I cannot give you any info on the A590, but you mentioned that you
  15. were in search of "the best Hard Drive buy".  I suggest that you take a
  16. gander at the GVP HD8+ Series II.  It slots straight on to the side of your
  17. Amiga A500, in the expansion port.  With DMA (Direct Memory Access) it uses
  18. minimal amounts of time of the processor and can shift 1.17 MBytes of data
  19. per second.  Watch those programs load in!  Up to 8 MBytes of memory and a
  20. 286 PC emulator can also be added in to the hard drive with minimal fuss.

  22.         The drive should typically cost you about 349.99 pounds Sterling
  23. with the add-ons costing about 30.00 pounds for 1 MByte of SIMM (Single
  24. In-line Memory Module - that's memory to you and me) and about 250.00 pounds
  25. for the 286 emulator.

  27.         I have had my HD for over a year now, and it has only given me
  28. one problem - the power pack wasn't powerful enough.  Once it was changed
  29. the drive has performed brilliantly ever since.
