- My school handles large lecture sections by using OMR "black-in" tests.
- This avoids having to grade 600 essays.

- I suppose the actual section sizes are 100-400 students. Often a professor
- will teach 2 or 3 sections of the same course.

- We usually get essay quetions in the upper level courses which are
- considerably smaller.
