  15.               WORKSHOP ON "IMPROVING YOUR TEACHING SKILLS"

  17. The Alabama Association of College and Research Libraries will sponsor
  18. a two-day workshop on bibliographic instruction methods, "Improving
  19. Your Teaching Skills,"  March 4 and 5, 1993, at the Auburn University
  20. Hotel and Conference Center, Auburn, Alabama.
  21.  
  22. Speakers will include Betsy Baker, Head of Reference, Northwestern
  23. University Library; Trish Ridgeway, library consultant and Head,
  24. Technical Services, the Handley Library, Winchester, Virginia; and
  25. Randall Hensley, Assistant Head of the Odegaard Library, University of
  26. Washington.

  28. Topics will include teaching skills as they relate to learning styles;
  29. reshaping the bibliographic instruction lecture; using active learning
  30. techniques in instruction; and user behavior with online systems as it
  31. relates to library use instruction.
