- There is a difference between having all of one's choices exposed to
- public scrutiny and having all of one's choices serve the public (either
- symbolically or actually). But even if we were to require the latter of
- public personages, Clinton hasn;t made such a bad symbolic statement.
- He has demonstrated himself to be a responsive, concerned parent;
- and he has demonstrated his belief that a good education is valuable.
- He didn't for example use his above-average income to buy Chelsea
- a yacht or his influence to get her a date with Prince Charles.
