  17. There is a difference between having all of one's choices exposed to
  18. public scrutiny and having all of one's choices serve the public (either
  19. symbolically or actually).  But even if we were to require the latter of
  20. public personages, Clinton hasn;t made such a bad symbolic statement.
  21. He has demonstrated himself to be a responsive, concerned parent;
  22. and he has demonstrated his belief that a good education is valuable.
  23. He didn't for example use his above-average income to buy Chelsea
  24. a yacht or his influence to get her a date with Prince Charles.
