- I just received this request from Dr. Iskandar Alisjahbana from
- the Bandung Institute of Technology (Indonesia):
-
- "I have seen an US Armed Forces inflatable transparent plastic (a
- sphere of around 1 m diameter) which produce fresh water for
- drinking, from seawater, with the help of solar radiation. I am
- looking for a researcher who has done experiments to scale-up this
- kind of fresh-water producting tool, by utilizing half spherical
- dome (radius of several m) whith transparent plastic cover,
- floating on seawater, to produce drinking water for a village."
-
- If anybody out there can help with this, please respond (by the
- way, the response will go back via VITA's low earth orbit
- satellite system to Iskandar's groundstation near Jakarta).
-
- Thanx.
