  15. And on the subject of remakes, let's go for the really obscure--a case where
  16. the original has hardly survived in a state visible enough to even question
  17. the quality of the sequel: Blake Edwards' "Victor/Victoria", which remade an
  18. obscure German film from the 30s, I think ("Viktor und Victoria"... or whatever
  19. the spelling is!).  JC
