- For a magnificent (no exaggeration) documentary on how the original
- Ben-Hur chariot scene was filmed, seek out the Thames' TV series
- "Hollywood" from 10+ years ago. Its worth the trouble of searching
- for these hour long episodes. The explanation of the hanging
- miniatures and the puppets used in the crowds will forever change
- the way you view this scene. You will also notice the poor fellow
- who accidentally ran into the camera view in 1920s clothing and
- was not edited out due to the cost of reshooting.
-
- How could any body be bored by the remake of Ben-Hur? The noise
- alone could wake the dead.
