  13. Computer games have become so popular that software houses are always
  14. looking for new ideas, and where better to look than the cinema?
  15. It's mindblowing to think that for many of the popular
  16. films released last year, there has been an accompanying computer game
  17. (e.g. "Batman Returns", "Lethal Weapon (3)", "Terminator  2", "Cool
  18. World", "Home Alone 2").
  19. Of course some film licences turn out to be totally useless ("Home
  20. Alone", Ghostbusters 2)
  21. And some of the games are better than the actual films ("Hudson
  22. Hawk", "The Addams Family")
  23. The fact is that computer game licences are HOT!
  24. Steven Spielbergs "Jurassic Park" (sp?) will be released as a game in
  25. spring, before the film even premieres in a cinema.
  26. The movie-to-game concept can work the opposite way, also.
  27. "Super Mario Brothers" will be released as a film next summer. (I
  28. think Samantha Mathis is worringly young to be Bob Hoskins love
  29. interest!)
  30. This could start a new trend in the film making world...
  31. Imagine Joe Pesci as Sonic the Hedgehog or Bruce Willis as James
  32. Pond!!(?)
  33. I shudder at the possibilities!

  35. Speaking of casting, Tim Curry should have most definately been the
  36. Joker in Batman - He looks just like the comic character
  37.  
  38. Totally non-relevant fact: The original casting list for "Robin Hood -
  39.  Prince of thieves" made interesting reading, Kevin Costner as Robin
  40. Hood survived, but what about Jack Nichelson (sp) as the Sherrif of
  41. Nottingham and Danny DeVito as Friar Tuck!
