- Was watching Batman Returns again. And was struck this time around to
- the literary references to the story of Moses. (I.E. the Penquin's
- carriage floating in the water, and the attempt at killing of the first
- born, to be exact). I was also thinking, duh, how did I miss that
- one the first time through? But then the movie is so visually over-
- whelming, I guess it is easy to miss that.
-
- Other references I have noticed or has been discussed before.
-
- Masque of Red Death, from the party scene.
- Max Shreack (Sorry about the spelling)
- Phantom of the Opera, (Penquin's hideout)
-
- I know there are others, can't think of them now. (But I'm sure
- I'll get help) :) :)
