  12.      Of the three biopics, Malcolm X is definitely the best. I think
  13. Denzel, Al Pacino, and Clint Eastwood are gonna fight it out for best
  14. actor. The buzz on Malcolm X was a lot stronger when it first came out
  15. but the box-office response has been cold. Perhaps the public is a
  16. little tired of controversy, and Spike Lee does tend to toot his horn
  17. just a little too much. Anyway, Malcolm X might resurface come Oscar
  18. time. Al Freeman, Jr. is a contender. The academy might be unfamiliar
  19. with his other work and that might work against him. Other contenders
  20. for supporting include Gene Hackman(he'll win), Al Pacino(Glengarry),
  21. Nicholson(A Few Good Men), Chris O'Donnell(Scent), Tom Skerritt(River).
