  11. Where's everybody these days? Busy, perhaps? Well, let me stir
  12. things up a little bit. Here, in my humble desperate plea, are ten
  13. ways to improve Hollywood -
  14.                             1. Get rid of sequels, buddy/cop, yuppie
  15. redemption, sexpot-from-hell movies.
  16.                             2. Make sure women get more acting jobs
  17. than dogs.
  18.                             3. Tell boneheads like Arnold Schwarzen-
  19. neger to stop doing interviews on topics other than the film he's
  20. promoting.
  21.                             4. Commit Scorsese, Kubrick, Altman,
  22. Pollack, Lynch, Cronenberg, Demme, Bertolucci to directing at least
  23. one movie a year.
  24.                             5. Tell Oliver Stone and Spike Lee to give
  25. it a rest.
  26.                             6. Enroll all the studio executives in an
  27. Introduction to Film class.
  28.                             7. If there has to be violence in movies,
  29. make it real and disturbing rather than fun.
  30.                             8. Tell Steven Spielberg to grow up.
  31.                             9. Make more black AND white films and
  32. fewer black OR white films.
