- A VERY useful CD-ROM that I highly recommend is "Computer Select" from
- Ziff Davis. It is a monthly CD-ROM that contains a ton of valuable
- information.
- The Computer Select people can be reached at 212-503-4400. The
- following
- description is from the computer select CD-ROM.
-
- " Computer Select contains information on virtually every
- computer-related product and topic, including articles from over 110
- publications that cover topics such as product reviews, technical tips,
- and
- industry news. The Computer Select database also has product
- specifications
- for over 75,000 hardware, software, and data communications products, and
- contains more than 13,000 manufacturers' profiles. Use Computer Select
- to
- identify, evaluate, and select products, recommend vendors, monitor
- industry
- trends, and write comprehensive proposals. Computer Select is a useful
- tool
- not only for computer managers and technical staff but also for industry
- analysts, consultants, and librarians who track computer industry news."
