  14. The "source" for Klopstock's Fruehlingsfeyer has been traced to  J.A. Lambert's
  15. Lettres cosmologiques sur l'organisation de l'univers (1761)  and Bode's
  16. Anleitung zur Kenntnis des gestirnten Himmels (1768) by Helene Tuzet, Le Cosmos
  17. et l'imagination, 2nd ed., Paris: Jose Corti, 1988, p. 111-12.  (see all of
  18. part I, ch. XI).

  20. The problem is that the first version of the poem dates back to 1759, i.e.,
  21. before the 2 "sources".  I guess a closer look at Tuzet's book should help
  22. clear the discrepancy.
