- After a little more checking, here is an actual answer to your query:

- The "source" for Klopstock's Fruehlingsfeyer has been traced to J.A. Lambert's
- Lettres cosmologiques sur l'organisation de l'univers (1761) and Bode's
- Anleitung zur Kenntnis des gestirnten Himmels (1768) by Helene Tuzet, Le Cosmos
- et l'imagination, 2nd ed., Paris: Jose Corti, 1988, p. 111-12. (see all of
- part I, ch. XI).

- The problem is that the first version of the poem dates back to 1759, i.e.,
- before the 2 "sources". I guess a closer look at Tuzet's book should help
- clear the discrepancy.
