  17. vestibular:  the sensory system that responds to the position of the
  18. head in relation to gravity and accelerated or decelerated movement;
  19. it integrates neck, eye, and body movements.

  21. Prioprioception:  From the Lation word for "one's own."  Refers to the
  22. perception of sensation fromt he muscles and joints.  Proprioceptive
  23. input tells teh brain when and how muscles are contracting or stretching,
  24. and when and how the joints are bending, entending, or being pulled or
  25. compressed.  This information enables the brain to know where each part
  26. of the body is and how it is moving.

  28. Tactile defensiveness:  a sensory integrative dysfunction in which tactile
  29. sensations create negative emotional reactions.  It is associated with
  30. distractibility, restlessness, and behavior problems.
