- >Who's your favorite songwriters (have we covered this yet, probally so)
-
- Bob Dylan before the his religous conversions
- Phil Ochs
- Elliot Murphy
- the main writer for the Rainmakers (blast those missing brain cells)
- Peter Hammill
- a couple of dozen others I'll remember as soon as I send this off
- Jim Steinman
-
- As for a masterpiece song, I'll have to go with Steinman's "Tonight
- Is What It Means To Be Young" from the movie _Streets Of Fire_.
-
- As to why I didn't submit it for the compilation tape, the tape was
- announced while I was on Christmas vacation. When I returned, there
- were 2200 messages unread. By the time I found the announcement,
- the deadline had passed. A few days later I found the announcement
- that the deadline had been extended, but by then the extended
- deadline had already passed. Sorry, folks.
