- My "perfect" labels would probably be:
-
- 1. Real World. Granted not everything off of this label is great,
- but I enjoy the diversity and the clarity of the recordings.
-
- 2. Electra/Nonesuch. This one goes way back. I have stuff from
- the Gyuto Monks and Mystere de los Voix Bulgares (sp?) from this
- label. Good stuff.
-
- 3. Smithsonian Folkways. The Tuva one is superb and I am seeking out
- other releases as I discover them.
-
- 4. Rykodisc. Zappa, obscure music, The World...what more can I ask for?
-
- 5. Rhino. They do an excellent job at bringing back the weirdest bands
- from the 50s and 60s, as well as the classics.
-
- Mike.
- just some of the neat-o labels I like.
