  18. yes, in fact some people insist that the 50s Miles is his greatest.

  23. great stuff though, Workin, Steamin, Cookin' and Relaxin' have Coltrane
  24. and Red Garland, Mr. PC, and Philly Joe Jones.  There's others too.
  25. I am not sure if there were some sessions with Monk, there were some,
  26. but I don't know if they are on Prestige.  I think there was one on
  27. December 24, and there was an argument that broken out between Monk and
  28. Miles.  They talk about it on the NRP radio project.  If so, Monk takes
  29. a gem of a solo on a blues, not sure if it is Bag's Groove, but a medium
  30. slow blues in F.

  32. I don't know to what extent, but I think if it came down to blows, Monk
  33. could have taken Miles.

  35. I hear the best fighter in jazz is Elvin Jones.  Even though he is in
  36. his 60, nobody should mess with him.

  38. The only thing about waiting, don't wait too long, things have a way of
  39. going out of print and disappearing in this world.  There ought to be a
  40. Miles credit card, to be used only for buying Miles recordings.
