  21. Using the unambigious, clinical, politically-correct safe-sex definition
  22. of "fusion" as popularized by a Mr. Beer so long ago, you could probably
  23. get away with labelling them as a psychedelic funk-metal fusion, even
  24. though there seems to be a lot of improvising going on. I think it was
  25. decided that improvising does not jazz make, so in the case of Praxis,
  26. we'll call improvisation a moot point. I think there are better ways to
  27. describe Praxis, anyway. It's damn good tuneage though, ain't it Sonia?

  30. We can turn this catagorization into a safe-sex definition, too (as has
  31. been shown). What I find hilarious are the arguments on the Usenet
  32. newsgroup 'alt.music.progressive' that the Cure, et al, should be
  33. discussed in that newsgroup (which is actually devoted to the
  34. discussion of bands such as Yes, King Crimson, Gentle Giant, the
  35. whole Canterbury scene, etc. -- in other words, "progressive rock").
  36. Do they have a right to be mad when others laugh at them for trying to
  37. adopt an existing label to describe something completely different?
