- While I was in Camelot picking up _Transmutation_ the guy who works in the jazz
- section, that I had tried to bully into ordering a copy of _Transmutation_ for
- himself (because he did sound interested--he plays bass and likes Bootsy),
- asked
- me if I knew "Junkyard" by David Friedman (?) and some other David. Nope, I
- didn't. But I am a bit sceptical because when I--oops, we'll have to
- DIS-assemble the above text before we can proceed any further: actually I
- talked to this guy when I ORDERED _Transmutation_ and he was interested; so
- when I picked it UP, I asked him whether he had heard it for himself... and he
- got this whimpering look in his eyes and he mewled, "Well I saw some Praxis on
- video [?? is this true? possible? what video?] and [whine] I thought they were
- kind of... weird" He looked terrified that I was going to prod him with my
- stiletto-heel motorcycle boots [you thought I was going to say boobs, didn't
- you]... So when this guy recommended "Junkyard" I thought, yeah, sure.
- BUT I also thought, let's hear what the NET has to say on this. So?
-
- Gary, I just recorded my stuff for you and I'm telling you, if what I have put
- on tape for the good of mewling humanity does not make you jump out of your
- pants INSTANTLY, I want to hear about it. It'll be in tomorrow's mail and I
- hope it doesn't burn the PeeOh's fingers.
-
- Ilia, "deprive of" not "from" (you're thinking _ot_) (for what that's worth)
-
- You know one of the strangest things about _Transmutation_ (don't laugh or
- puke) - you can DANCE to it. Truly, I could not just SIT and listen to it. It
- made you get up and DO it. Now how much jazz can you say that about?
- (I hope I haven't made a horrible Volks Paw)
