  13. Back on board after a brief hiatus -- and I'm sure that after reading this,
  14. many of you might feel that it wasn't brief *enough*. :-)

  16. Since I bypassed any inaugural-ball bashing, critiquing, celebrating, I don't
  17. know if this has already been touched on. But I'm touching now ... and you
  18. don't know where. ;-)

  20. Whilst cleaning my house on Saturday, I camest across a rebroadcast of MTV's
  21. Inaugural Ball. ("A rebroadcast on MTV?" you say. "How unnatural!" But yes, my
  22. friends, it happens sometimes.) ANYWAY: The *only* thing to catch my attention
  23. and make me turn off my Hoover was the impromptu Automatic Baby performance.
  24. Michael Stipe and Mike Mills of R.E.M. and Adam "My Hair Keeps Getting Worse"
  25. Clayton and Larry Mullen, Jr., of U2 doing an acoustic version of "One."

  27. I liked it. *A lot.* And this is coming from someone who likes to bitch about
  28. both bands whenever the opportunity presents itself. ;-)
