  34.         Same. It's rather small, and the form is more or less that of a
  35. small goose, only it is a bit more sharp at the end. You can produce
  36. weird sound by bending and squeezing the neck, only you have to be care-
  37. ful not to damage it completely -- also because it is usually unfixable.
  38. Cheap models are usually white, more elaborate types are multicoloured,
  39. usually brownish anyway. And there are several sizes, too... :) :)

  41.         More seriously, Mike: the weird object made with spring coil you
  42. showed me in San Francisco was just great. What was the name? I'd like to
  43. build one for myself too...

  47. P.S.: now that I remember -- funniest thing happened with Masuda-man that
  48.       evening: I was strumming his Stratocaster, and I showed him a weird alter-
  49.       nate tuning. He decided it was interesting, and wanted to remember it.
  50.       Now, the guitar was connected to a small battery amp, a few feet away
  51.       from us. Mike quickly grabbed a small tape recorder in his bag and
  52.       asked me to play one string at a time, which I did very carefully and
  53.       letting ring. In the meantime Mike was taping the tuning... but none
  54.       realised he was picking the strings, not the amp!!! As soon as I had
  55.       finished we looked at each other, the light came in our mind and we
  56.       both started laughing rather histerically. Needless to say, the sample
  57.       was repeated, with the microphone pointed to the amp this time...
