- : I regret to have to tell you that the maximum number of SLIP interfaces in AIX 3.2

-
- Another alternative, if you've already got an ethernet board, is to get
- a terminal server that supports SLIP, and offload the responsibility for
- SLIP from the RS6000 to the terminal server.
-
- The Xylogics Annex we have supports SLIP as well as rlogin and telnet, and
- I've used all three successfully. The latest software also supports PPP
- and LAT. We're quite happy with it, but it is an expense I'm sure you don't
- want to take on, having already bought the 64-port board.
