  11.  Greetings:  I am new to RISC 6000 and AIX and I know RTFM but we do
  12.  not have all the manuals delivered yet.
  13.  I am trying to install AIX 3.2.1 from an 8mm tape to the Hard disk.
  14.  I have used the following procedure with no success:
  15.  1. Shutdown system.
  16.  2. Turned off the power.
  17.  3. Turned the system key to SECURE.
  18.  4. turned on all attached devices.
  19.  5. turned the system unit power on.
  20.  6. received the '200' code.
  21.  7. Inserted the 8mm tape and shut the door.
  22.  8. turned the system key to 'SERVICE'.
  23.  9. Press the yellow system reset buttom twice.
  24.  10.Selected 'EXIT MAIN MENU AND START SYSTEM BOOT'
  25.  I never receive the 'C31' status nor do I receive the Installation
  26.  and Maintenance menu.
  27.  I do receive a menu asking if I want to run diagnostics.
  28.  Can anyone determine what I have done incorrectly.
