  11. I saw a similar problem on an IBM X-station which did not have enough
  12. video memory, so I could only display 16 colours/grey shades but the
  13. software wanted more so it crashed.
  14. I ended up adding more video-memory.

  16. A similar experience happened on a PC with an X-emulator: things
  17. did not work with VGA, but with the 8514 card.

  19. Most likely you need more memory on your video card in your PC
