- (Re: Erika L. Jonietz message)
-
- It is the subtle things in life that will never cease to amaze me...
-
- In Erikas message about her formative years and what influenced her to go into
- science, an interesting remark was made which took priority over all other
- points alluded to in that message, and which showed a lack of interest in
- taking the time to make *equal* gender distinctions a part of her life. This
- *PC his/her crap* (direct quote from message) is something Erika states she
- does not get into. I *have* to say something.
-
- It takes one who can see the wrong in sexism, one who gives a damn about equali
- ty to make a point of *getting into* this PC his/her *crap*. One does not go
- around saying: Oh yeah, sure sexism is wrong! then turn around and condone its
- practices. Learn that fact of life, and learn it quick, kiddo! It is obvious
- that as a freshman in biology, you still have much to learn. I suggest you
- waste no time and begin now. You choose to remain stagnant and not evolve with
- the times and you will forever remain far behind, far, *far* behind. Forward
- you will never go.
-
- To many of us the erradication of sexism is not a fad, not light, funny or
- cute. It is serious *crap*......
