- Perhaps they see it as an entire city block devoted solely to being
- a bus stop. They might see the same service with on street bus
- zones and free up very valuable downtown real estate. (Personally,

- The ramps are being torn down because they used to lead to the late,
- unlamented Embarcadero Freeway. There are no plans to rebuild that
- freeway, so the ramps are going too. The bus ramps go somewhere so
- they are not slated for demolition.
