  23. Perhaps they see it as an entire city block devoted solely to being
  24. a bus stop.  They might see the same service with on street bus
  25. zones and free up very valuable downtown real estate.  (Personally,
  26. my view is between those two.)

  34. The ramps are being torn down because they used to lead to the late,
  35. unlamented Embarcadero Freeway.  There are no plans to rebuild that
  36. freeway, so the ramps are going too.  The bus ramps go somewhere so
  37. they are not slated for demolition.
