  23. A couple of weeks ago someone posted an article in s.s. which advised that
  24. the large hotel and convention center across the street from where he worked
  25. was a good place to meet women.  He claimed that there were a lot of single
  26. people only in town for a couple of days and were looking for something to
  27. do.  My response was basically, *plonk* (the sound of ones hand striking 
  28. thier forehead),  as I looked out across the street at the very large Westin
  29. Hotel and Santa Clara Convention Center.  Since then I've paid a little more
  30. attention to the events that are going on there.  Last week I was walking
  31. through and noticed their were a lot of cowboy hats worn.  Turned out that
  32. there was a large country-western dancing convention.  For those that are
  33. into that, it might have been kind of entertaining.  This week there is
  34. something even more interesting going on.  The East-West Shrine game (football)
  35. is being played this week and the coordinators and players are staying at
  36. the Westin.  Yesterday, I was in a training class at the hotel, and the lobby
  37. was filled with lots of very large and very athletic looking men.  Speaking
  38. to these all-star college players were a bunch of other guys that turned out
  39. to be pro-football recruiters.  In any case, mostly as a service to any
  40. women that might be so inclined, these guys outht to be around for at least
  41. another day or two as the game is this weekend.  Tina, at least, might be
  42. interested.
