  29. If you go back and read the relevant post more carefully, you'll see that 
  30. Tina did not say she didn't want to date people who are overweight, she 
  31. said she didn't want to go to a party that "fat people" might attend.  
  32. Later, she clarified that she didn't want to associate with any overweight 
  33. people because she was offended by their lack of self-esteem and initiative.

  35. She didn't get flamed because she didn't want to date/sleep with overweight 
  36. people -- that, as you indicate, is a matter of pheremones and personal 
  37. preference. However, not being willing to attend a party that might be 
  38. polluted by such people is an opinion eminently flamable, imho.
