  27. Microsoft's new push into network computing starts with Windows for Workgroups. 
  28. January's NETSIG meeting will feature Rick Segal, Microsoft's expert on 
  29. Windows for Workgroups.  Windows for Workgroups could prove to be the most 
  30. significant networking product produced by Microsoft in 1992 and presents some 
  31. exciting opportunities for independent software developers.

  33. Rick is coming in from Redmond to give us the information we need to develop 
  34. groupware, client/server and other network-aware applications.  Specifically, 
  35. Rick will describe what Windows for Workgroups provides that the "vanilla" 
  36. Windows 3.1 doesn't, the protocols it supports, API's it provides, and network 
  37. services available from Microsoft and others using Windows for Workgroups.
