  12. Today's Chron reports that the first scooterjacking (Honda Elite) occured
  13. yesterday in the Mission district. While cruising down the street, someone
  14. stepped out in front of the rider, blocking his way, and demanding his
  15. bike (I guess countersteering around him didn't work). The rider initially refused, but the jacker put his hand in his coat pocket and motioned as if
  16. he had a gun. The rider gave up the scoot. An accomplice was waiting around
  17. the corner and was picked up by the scooterjacker.
