- Please post any reliable dry cleaning service that you would be willing to
- share with the rest of the net in the area between Palo Alto and Los Gatos.
- Please do not post dry cleaning services in Sunnyvale,Santa Clara,San Jose,
- Campbell, or the following locations:
-
- DryClean USA in Mountain View (near Payless at Grant & ElCamino); reason:
- rayon/linen pants washed, not dry cleaned = ruined. Currently waiting for
- payment for the damage. Their motto: "The customer is always rudely
- treated." (When I mentioned that it looked like the pants had been washed,
- the guy behind the counter grabbed at the pants and then said "They weren't
- washed." I said "Well, I don't want to get into whether they were washed
- or not, the point is is that the pants are 4" shorter than when I brought
- them in." My girlfriend then asked the guy how did he know that the pants
- hadn't been washed. His reply "it says 'dry-clean only' on the label.
- Classic.
-
- Charleston Cleaners in Palo Alto; reason: two shirts ruined. One with a big
- ol' stain that couldn't be removed (must have been on their press, because
- it showed up on another shirt, but not as bad and in a location where it
- couldn't be seen). The other shirt come back in two-tone.
- One good point: The people working there were very nice.
