  16. stay in the South Bay then downtown San Jose is probably best.

  20. Les Saisons is great too, but the dining
  21. room is too brightly lit for me to think of it as romantic.

  23. The same is true with Il Fornaio.

  25. If you *really* want to make a night of it, rent a room at the
  26. Saint Claire.  The hotel bar is a very romantic spot.

  28. It's too bad that C'est Bon closed.  If you don't mind spending
  29. an entire evening lingering over your meal at a candlelit table, 
  30. it was the place to go.
