  12. Ya know..you wouldn't think my criteria for a place to eat would be that
  13. hard...it's only a 3-part test, after all:
  14.  
  15. 1) Has to be able to seat folks for dinner at about 10pm on a Friday
  16. night;
  17.  
  18. 2) Has to have a real menu and real waiting service; and
  19.  
  20. 3) Has to serve coffee and dessert.

  24. So far, just about the only places which seem to fit this criteria are
  25. Max's at the Stanford Center, and Friday's down by Valco.  [Let's rule
  26. out places like Denny's, shall we?..I guess there is an unstated 4th
  27. criteria:  has to serve real food :-)].

  29. Anybody have any suggestions?  A group of us go out pretty regularly on
  30. Friday nights after a class that gets out at 9:30pm.  Most of us live in
  31. the Palo Alto to Sunnyvale area.
