- Last Saturday I went to the Festival of Sydney's Opera in the Park, in which the Australian
- Opera performed Gouard's Romeo and Julliet.
-
- I was totally amazed with the composition of crowd in the Domain. There was a large ammount
- of people who probably wouldn't be caught dead listening to an opera on the radio or
- watching one on the ABC/SBS. Also a large amount of these people where not really
- listening to the performance in the park, they were chatting about what they did
- last week, giggling (under the influence), watching the rest of the crowd,
- and annoying other serious opera lovers.
-
- Don't get me wrong, but it seemed that a large amount of people there where not for
- the opera.
-
- (I'm not complaining again Annette, and I would probably go again next year.
- Especially if they do a Mozart opera).
