  13. Several months ago, I visited Australia for the 
  14. first time.  My first week there, my husband and I were
  15. at Flinder Street station in Melbourne, waiting
  16. for the next train to Berwick.  The train
  17. was scheduled to arrive in about 7 minutes,
  18. and I had to go to the bathroom/restroom/toilet.
  19. I spotted a train employee (an older man working
  20. at one of the platforms), and I went up to him
  21. and asked him where the nearest restroom was.
  22. ``No restrooms near here,'' he said, ``but there's
  23. an old toilet in a box over on platform 1 that you can use.''
  24. He then preceded to give me directions to platform 1,
  25. which I didn't hear because I was too freaked out
  26. imagining the old toilet in a box. 
  27. My husband, who is Australian, got quite a kick
  28. out of my reaction.
