  24. I don't (fwiw). Btw, the korrekt spelling should be "Kompjuter", and all 
  25. acronyms would have to be changed ("PK"; "Kuh" for "kompjuterunter-
  26. stuetzte Herstellung"="computer-aided manufacturing")...

  28. Of course CD would be renamed as KP = "kompakte Platte" -- no, this used 
  29. to stand for "communist party" -- sorry, that's out.

  31. But come to think of it, I shouldn't be too sure that these things won't 
  32. happen. Years ago some highly relevant institution decided that the German 
  33. pronunciation for "hi-fi" ought to be `hi-fee' because the first vowel 
  34. in "fidelity" is pronounced as an `ee' [well, not really, but sort of]. 
  35. And all those nitwits on radio and TV seem to follow this rule.

  37. To my ears, hi-fee sounds ridiculous. Or would anyone in the English-
  38. speaking world say so??
