- Hmmm... I hope I didn't sound that incoherent in my original post...

- While I'm at it, this bugs the hell out of me, too...

- I still don't get why I'm not a fan of MST fan if I don't like Leary, and
- I'm not kidding.
- You say Denis Leary has a new angle on comedy; I say I don't see
- any humor in anything he says, especially when it's as completely pointless,
- tasteless, and mean-spirited as making fun of Jim Henson's death. I just
- don't get it. I also say he doesn't have a "new angle;" I'm not that
- impressed by some guy just pacing around on stage bitching about anything
- he can think of, especially if he doesn't come up with anything particularly
- innovative to make fun of or any creative ways to make fun of them. I keep
- seeing a clip of his ragging on Barry Manilow -- they did Barry Manilow
- jokes on RHODA. This is a "new angle?"
- The reason I compared him to "The Dice Man" is that they're both
- comedians who became really popular just on shock value and neither are
- particularly interesting or funny, IMO. They also both get lots of raves
- about how original and daring they are, when I just don't get it.
- Sure, I'm open-minded (AM TOO!), but I'm also opinionated and I'll
- jump at the chance to let you know if I like or dislike something. I
- dislike Denis Leary, and I don't see the point in talking about him on an
- MST3K newsgroup. (Unless, of course, it's me, responding to a flame.)
-
- >Is MST3K the ONLY comedy you watch
- >or something? Trust me, MST3K is original, a new angle on something.
- >So is Denis Leary! So, you hate him! BFD! Guess you think Richard
- >Pryor talks dirty to much huh?...
-
- No, I like plenty of comedians. The only thing I can think of that they
- all have in common is that they're funny, and they don't try to be funny at
- the expense of others. That's the easy way out. I hate him, right. BFD.
- I agree.
-
- > "Free your mind, and the rest will follow..."
- > En Vogue (Uh Oh, theyr'e on MTV, guess u hate em)
-
- No, actually, I like En Vogue. Never gonna get it never gonna get it... etc.
- One of the few MTV bands I like. Work on your spelling, Coz.
-
- (I so rarely get *permission* to post my opinions on the net; I usually have
- to volunteer them! It's fun!)
